R2-D2 awakens and reveals the rest of the map, finally revealing Luke's location to the Resistance. On D'Qar, the Resistance celebrates while Leia, Chewbacca, and Rey mourn Han's death. On the forest moon, the Rebels celebrate their victory while Luke sees the ghosts of Yoda, Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Qui-Gon (wearing Darth Vader’s outfit). Luke escapes with his father's body before the Death Star explodes. Vader saves his son's life and throws Sidous down a shaft, killing him however, he is fatally wounded and Luke removes his mask before he dies. They fight and defeat Sidous, but he attacks Luke. Meanwhile, Luke Skywalker is taken prisoner by Darth Vader and brought to Darth Sidious, but Luke manages to bring Vader back to the light side by showing him a child's drawing of him, angering Sidious.
They succeed in destroying the core and narrowly escape the blast.
